Taking a screenshot is one of the quickest ways to save what’s on your screen. Whether you want to keep an error message, save a receipt or show someone a problem, screenshots are incredibly useful.
What Is a Screenshot?
A screenshot is simply a picture of whatever is currently displayed on your screen.
Method 1: Print Screen
Press the Print Screen (PrtSc) key to copy your entire screen. Open Paint, Word or an email and press Ctrl + V to paste it.
Method 2: Windows + Shift + S
Press Windows + Shift + S. Your screen will dim and you’ll be able to select exactly what you want to capture.

Method 3: Snipping Tool
Open the Start menu, search for Snipping Tool, and launch it. You can capture, edit and save screenshots from one place.
Method 4: Windows + Print Screen
Press Windows + Print Screen to automatically save a screenshot in Pictures > Screenshots.
