Broadband and Leased lines

Broadband and Leased lines

Fibre to Cabinet and Fibre to Premises Broadband

Up until a few years ago, the Openreach network has been digital from exchange to exchange, but analogue from the exchange to your premises. The main shortcoming of analogue is that the bandwidth decreases the further you are from the exchange, so only a few businesses have been able to realise really high-speed internet access. Fibre to Cabinet (FTTC) means broadband data is carried over digital fibre optic cables to the street cabinet, which is likely to be far nearer to you than your local exchange. Fibre to Premises (FTTP) means you have fibre all the way. This means faster speeds for a great number of people.

What speeds can you expect?

Download speeds can be anything up to 80Mbps. Upload speeds are anything up to 20Mbps. Increased upload speeds will be of particular benefit to customers who wish to employ Voice over IP solutions or those who have remote users connecting to their server.

Regardless of what other suppliers may tell you, any Broadband service can be volatile. However, FTTC is running over newly installed fibre-optic cables whereas standard broadband runs over existing copper lines. With this in mind, it is fair to say that Barwell computer repair Infinity is far less likely to go wrong.

Standard Business Broadband

For customers who don’t yet have Fibre to Cabinet broadband available in their area, we know they rely on their internet connection too much to risk a cheap but unreliable service. When we asked a client why he uses Barwell computer repair for his broadband, he simply said: “because it works”.

That’s why our “quality first” commitment applies as much to the broadband service we use as it does to every other service.

Dedicated Leased Lines

As businesses become increasingly dependent on connection to the internet, they need ever faster and more reliable data connections. This need is being fuelled by the growth in doing business on-line; the increased usage of cloud-based applications and the desire for higher quality Voice over IP solutions.

For many organisations, even Fibre to Cabinet broadband is not keeping pace with their demands. Happily, we are now able to provide leased lines (private circuits between your premises and the internet) at very competitive prices.
